Portsmouth Laser Cleaning was awarded the contract to clean the external stonework of the iconic Marylebone Station.

March 2024 marked the 125th anniversary of the opening of the London terminus of the Great Central Railway back in 1899.

The Management Team at Marylebone Station was keen to safely restore the external stonework of the building to its former glory to mark the momentous occasion.

The external stonework had previously never been cleaned, due to a number of reasons. Mainly due to concerns over damage to the stonework that chemicals and other aggressive cleaning methods could cause, but also, restrictions in how it could be cleaned without public health and safety concerns being in a densely populated area.

This is where Portsmouth Laser Cleaning was able to deliver incredible results, with no public health and safety risks, and no risk of damaging the 125-year-old stonework with the latest laser cleaning technology.

The results speak for themselves below. The management team at Marylebone Station was astounded by the results.
